Beware of what you say on social media

Social media is a powerful tool for brands of all types. It helps them connect, engage, and establish trust with current and prospective clients, increase brand awareness, website traffic and ultimately increase sales.

Most of us have left reviews on products or services (restaurant, salons, etc.) on social media, blogs or the companies’ websites at some point in time.

Beware what you say, especially if you are leaving negative comments.  You can be sued for libel.  A disgruntled bride in Vancouver is being sued by the bridal company for C$11,500 in damages!

Experts advise that if you want to write a complaint online, be specific and accurate.
