教育補助の生活/ The Life of a Teaching Assistant

Jan 18, 2024

Welcome to my blog! I'm Cielo, and today I want to take you on a journey behind the scenes of my life as a teaching assistant at a preschool. In this space, I'll share the daily experiences, challenges, joys, and lessons learned as I navigate the fascinating world of education.

A Unique Day as a Teaching Assistant:

Every day as a teaching assistant is unique and full of opportunities to learn and grow. From the moment I enter the classroom, the children greet me with smiles and hugs, shouting "Miss Cielo!" Together, we go over the agenda to note which uniform to wear tomorrow, whether it's the sports uniform or the daily one. I also accompany them to the bathroom while the teacher organizes the next class.

While the teacher conducts the lesson, my duty is to maintain order in the classroom, assist children who may not understand the lessons, take them to the infirmary if they're unwell, and, above all, never lose sight of them, always knowing where they are at all times.

Lunchtime arrives, and I accompany them to the dining area, ensuring they eat everything and avoid allergenic foods or anything parents have prohibited. Later, we head to the playground for some playtime and conclude the day with the final class, escorting the children to their respective routes.

I accompany them right up to the farewell at the end of the day; there's not a single moment when the children are not under my care. However, once they leave, my work doesn't end. I stay an extra two hours, organizing the classroom and preparing activities the teacher will need for the next day.
