We have visited Japan 4 times now, and each time I have been able to handle the weather, so this didn't concern me. But then I realised - we never came here in the summer!!!! We arrived last year in mid August, but before this, every trip was in September or in early spring!
I had planned to go running in the mountains tomorrow to celebrate my 30th birthday (I already have plans for Sunday) but I have decided to change my plans!
For one - I haven't been working much this month at all, but have been spending money on my trip to Fuji-san. (and also ordering lots of healthy food from my favourite website - iherb.com......)
Secondly - we will be in Kawaguchiko climbing Fuji-san next week, so I think I can handle one day of no mountains!
And thirdly - I think it is just too hot right now!
I have still been exercising outside each day, but the heat is making me feel so lethargic! 3 cold showers each day is not enough.....
I have got in to the habit recently of going running in the late evening. It is so beautiful and peaceful at this time! Not to mention, much cooler.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Take care, stay cool, and stay hydrated!
David
