New Year, New US

What are your goals and resolutions for the New Year?

Did you know that by September 91% of people have failed to stick to their new year's resolutions and goals.

Why is this?

I attribute it to many factors, but one of them being unrealistic expectations of what we can achieve.
Human beings OVERESTIMATE what they can achieve in one year, but UNDERESTIMATE what they can achieve in 4 years. So let's be realistic with our goals.

Secondly I believe we know what we want, but don't know how to achieve it. A goal without the meaningful steps to reach it is worthless.

We all know it feels great to say what we will do in the coming year, and it fills us with dopamine. Similar to people saying they will run a marathon and sharing it all over social media. When it comes to the training they realise it is a cold, dark and lonely place, and often quit. The training and the work to achieving a goal is not the 'sexy' part.

So have realistic steps and 'small victories' along the path to achieving your goal.

2024 is going to be a fantastic year for us all, but only if we put in the work.
And even then it needs to be the 'right' work, that is specific and measurable for our goals.

Have a lovely day everyone :-)
