Basic maths problem solving using English

Dec 9, 2023

Maths has a lot of universal symbols and of course, numbers but are you familiar with the English words used to talk about maths?

Read the words and try to put them in the correct column according to which function they have.
For example, add goes in the addition column and minus goes in the subtraction column.
Take your time to understand words and phrases.

This task might be easier.

Do you find it easy to understand your teacher?

Your reading comprehension must be good when you try to answer problem-solving questions like these.

The answers are multiple-choice to make it easier.

If you are finding this hard or simply want to practice the pronunciation book a lesson with me.
These lessons are helpful for most young people and adults but essential knowledge for high school students.

This time can you write an equation to solve each problem?

Join me in a Maths lesson to check your equations aloud.
I'm looking forward to it.
