What do you usually do for Valentine's Day in your country?

Feb 18, 2023

Over the years, the idea of Valentine's Day has become very commercial. A lot of people buy flowers, chocolates and even take their significant other out for a nice dinner. It can cost a lot of money. Some people however prefer to keep things simple and those who are single do something special for the people they love such as their mom, dad, siblings, friends and so on.

At school, children exchange Valentine's Day cards. These cards usually come in packs of 12 or more and it has specific characers. My son chose dinasaur characters and they have silly greetings at the front. One says "You are RAWRsome!" hahaha And at the back it says "To: _____ From: _____" which is space for kids to write their friend's name and their name.

Some people get disappointed when their partner doesn't give them anything for Valentine's Day. In my opinion, everyday should be like Valentine's Day. I don't mean that couples should go out and spend tons of money on a fancy dinner every night, but they should always treat their partners as special as they are.
