Despite the crippling altitude, bleeding in 6 places (!!!!) 38 degree weather, and more - I somehow managed to come first place in my 100 mile ultra marathon here in Colorado.
It was only a small event, but it was one of the most difficult. I was having breathing problems at 15 miles in, and the heat was making me feel dizzy and feint. I had lots of cuts, blisters and bruises, but coninued on nonethless!
This was a brilliant event which was for a great cause.
The director of this event is one of my biggest inspirations, and is a well respected author, ultrarunner and soon to be - boxer. The whole time he was providing me with advice and support when I was struggling.
This was certainly a day I will never forget.
Have a lovely day everone!
