Hokkaido's beautiful beaches

Sep 23, 2018

Hokkaido may be famous for the snow in the winter and the mountains in the spring - but there are many peaceful and secluded beaches that surround the coastal towns.

One of my favourite things to do in this area is to go on a run to the beach, and sit in meditation watching the ocean.

I find the sound and movement of the waves to be incredibly soothing and replenishing for the mind, body and spirit.

The crash and fall of the water is a direct example of the interplay between 'Yin and Yang' and is an easily observable example in nature of the ways in which the energies harmonise and unite to make one.

Without one force there is no other.

Have a wonderful day everyone and take care!

David
