Hello, my name is Stephanie and I am from New Zealand.
About Me
I have been married for nineteen years and have two daughters. Currently I am living in Nicaragua, Central America where I am learning to speak Spanish. Nicaragua has some amazing beaches which my family and I love to visit, we often spot howler monkeys and iguanas which always makes it so special.

My Education and Work Experience
I trained for three years full time at the New Zealand School of Dance and then worked as a professional ballet dancer with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. In 2000 I worked as a freelance dancer in Japan and that is where I got my first teaching job. I taught ballet to all ages, from two years old all the way to adults and my classes ranged from private lessons to groups of 40 students. I loved teaching ballet and I wanted to be qualified to do it so I moved to London and studied with the Royal Academy of Dance and acquired my Teaching Certificate. Since then I have run my own ballet schools, one in London for five years and one in New Zealand for ten years. When I moved to Nicaragua four years ago I upskilled my qualifications and got a Bachelors Degree in Business and a TESOL Diploma. I started teaching English online in 2018.
My Teaching Style
I have a happy disposition and I am very patient and kind. I really care about my students, I want them to improve every lesson. I have learnt, from over twenty years of teaching, that it is really important to have objectives that I want my student to achieve in each lesson and long term goals for them to work to. When students can see what they have achieved it encourages them to keep going and it gives me great satisfaction.
My Lessons
English
We can practise conversation, read a news article or work through exercise sheets.
English for Children
Fun classes that capture the imagination. Based on the level and what the child is interested in.
Pre School Dance
A themed class where the child will learn English and dance to music. Some example lessons: At the Circus, Under the Sea, At the Shopping Centre, The Castle, Going to Australia, The Toy Kingdom.
Ballet
Coaching for examinations.
Workshops on particular steps eg. pirouette tips, pointe work.
