講師休假中。

Hi! My name is Sally, and I love languages and expression in general -- languages, art, music, and writing.    I hold a University degree in Linguistics, and look forward to helping you with  English ... speaking, grammar questions, pronunciation, and whatever else you would like to work on!

I am also a trained Hatha Yoga instructor and meditator.  If there is interest, we can arrange a session or two of guided relaxation for you ... this is something you can learn to do yourself after a few times of practicing together.  I'll be adding that class towards the end of August. 


Teaching Style: I'm patient and intuitive; I love helping others, and I bring a warm but solid approach to learning.  With regards to language, I've been speaking with mostly non-native english speakers for the past 30 years, which has helped me become a good listener.  I know how hard it is to begin to speak a new language, to try to not be shy about it.  So I don't "push"; I support and encourage.  I like people to feel free to make mistakes ... they are such a good way to learn!
 
Background:  I was born in the desert state of Arizona, in America.   My first big journey was to Spain, where I spent one year at University.  Then I moved to Asia in 1990,  and spent the next 27 years living in Bhutan, Laos and Thailand.  I had the good fortune to meet all types of people and teachers ... these years in the East added so many precious qualities to my life! A few years ago I moved to France, where I now live in a tiny stone cottage, at the end of a path, in the deep and beautiful countryside.
 
Things I Like:  Can you guess something about me from the photo?  Yes, I love animals!  I brought these dogs and the cat with me to Europe from Thailand :D.   I also love nature, japanese food, middle-eastern food, the color blue-green, and how our world feels at dawn.  I'd love to hear about the things you like as well ... we can talk about all this in conversations.
