Teaching background

I have 20 years of English teaching experience, most of that in Japan. My most recent job was working for seven years at TDK corporation, in Nagano prefecture, as a business English instructor. For five years before that, I worked at British Hills Village in Fukushima prefecture, teaching English through British culture – arts and crafts, cooking and sports. Previously to that, I taught at Calsonic Kansei teaching mainly TOEIC skills for one year. I have also been an assistant English teacher at a junior high school and taught at a conversation school.

I like to use the acronym FINE to describe my teaching style.

F = Flexible - taught in the way that is best for you and can be changed at your request.
I = Interactive - most of the time is for you to speak or to ask questions at any time.
N = Natural - we will use the most common every day words and natural pronunciation as we have real conversations.
E = Enjoyable - we will enjoy learning together, when you enjoy you learn best.
