Who am I?:)
Hi there, I am a native Mandarine speaker who is from Taiwan and have been living in Australia for 4 years. I studied and practised English mostly in my own way, thus I have lots of tips on how to improve English skills at different stages.
Despite teaching languages, I am also a qualified artist who loves to share things about arts:)
My background
The first 20 years in my life, I had never tried to use English as a language to communicate with other people. It was very hard to believe that I could not speak in English after learning it for more than 10 years... I tried very hard after that, to get myself use to express my feelings in English and also adjusted my accent.
This year, I got a 7.5 overall band score and an 8 band score for speaking test for my IELTS result. So don't worry if you are not confident with speaking in English, I've gone through the exact process you are going through right now:)
I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Contemporary Arts; Diploma of Media & Communications and also a TESOL certificate (Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages) in Australia. While I was studying in Australia, I have taught many international students from Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam, Europe how to practice and improve their English skills. Despite teaching English, I had also taught them some useful Mandarine VOCAB and sentences for daily use.
My teaching style
I like to get to know the students first and then prepare different learning materials depending on their learning styles, eg. visual, auditory or kinesthetic.
I learnt English from zero, so I know the problems you might encounter while learning a language and I can get you through it:)
