SELF INTRODUCTION
Hello! My name is Alexandra Tsukada. I live in Tokyo, Japan, and I'm originally from San Jose, California, in the United States. I also lived in Seattle, Washington for a long time. I moved to Japan in Autumn of 2019.
I am studying traditional moku-hanga (Japanese woodblock printmaking) from a master Ukiyo-e carver. I also received a Bachelor's degree in Printmaking from Cornish College of the Arts in 2010, where I originally discovered Moku-hanga.
This was also the time when I was introduced to something, that would redirect my life towards Japan. If you would like to know more, you can read my blog post on why I came to Japan...
Interests & Passions
I love animals, especially cats. I also love learning kanji and Japanese. When the weather is warm, I often go swimming with fishes in the ocean in my free time. As for regualar excerise, bouldering is my favorite!
