About me
Hello there! I’m Regine and I have been living in teaching English in Japan for more than five years now. I'm originally from a very beautiful and tropical country in Southeast Asia, The Philippines. I grew up learning and speaking two languages which are Tagalog/Filipino (native language) and English (official language).
Almost five years ago, I decided to move to Japan to teach English. Since then, I've been teaching English to students of different ages. I am currently working for the Board of Education in my city as an English Teacher.
During weekends, I also teach English to adult learners at an International Cultural Center. I conduct English lessons for both beginners and advanced learners.
Prior to teaching English in Japan, I have worked as a Communication Trainer for a recruitment firm in Manila and I was an ESL Teacher to Chinese students. The topics I specialized in were Business English, IELTS Speaking, TOEFL Speaking and Young Learner’s lessons (Side by Side). I also worked as a Communication Trainer for a recruitment firm I also had the privilege of working for a few international companies with global offices in Manila. I have briefly worked in the Financial Services and Human Resource Industry. I’ve worked with people from different countries including Japan, China, America, and the Philippines. As for my educational background, I graduated with a degree in Philosophy and I’m a TESOL certified instructor. I am also certified in caring for children with special needs.
Hobbies and Interests
My hobbies are watching movies, listening to music and learning languages. A few of my favorite movies are A Beautiful Mind, Training Day and What Dreams May Come. I enjoy listening to different music genres. I listen to music every single day!
