My name is Simon and I'm a native English speaking, teacher living in Matsudo, Japan. I have recently arrived from England, where I taught maths and English for 10 years. I now teach English in Japan.
Before going into teaching, I had a business career, as an accountant and have both worked and lived abroad (I have previously lived in Japan, Italy, Germany). I have travelled widely as part of my job and can tell you about the many different countries I've visited.
I would like to teach Japanese students English but as I live in Japan, my time zone would probably suit any students living in Asia.
I will give lessons to students of any age.
My philosophy is that to improve their English and particularly to improve spoken English, students need to do most of the talking in a lesson. This may be difficult for beginners but over time they can achieve this. The more students talk, the more they begin to think in English and the more fluent they become.
