All of Kana's lessons are great, and no surprise, this one is great, too! She recommended some great reading material to me before the lesson, then in the lesson, we talked about the vocabulary, expressions, and story. Kana is great at asking thoughtful questions that help you to develop your speaking skills. Today is my first time to read a manga in Japanese. Me and Kana-sensei read Kimi ni Todoke together. At first, reading it alone was very difficult. I can only read the parts where I understood and missing out on the small details that makes a bigger meaning in a scene. In today's lesson, Kana-sensei helped me understood the story easily and I appreciated the small details and the meaning of the story. The kanji and meaning were difficult but Kana-sensei gave examples and it was easier to understand. She gave me a chance to try to explain and express my thoughts in what the meaning could be. This gave me a good feeling because somehow I got it. I really had a wonderful lesson and it was informative. Thank you Kana-sensei!
