Basic maths vocabulary and very basic equations.

Thirzah

Maths has a lot of universal symbols and of course, numbers but are you familiar with the English words used to talk about maths?

Here we will look at some basic maths words.
Read the words and try to match them to the correct part of each equation.

Check your answers.
1.C / 2.D / 3.E / 4.H / 5.B / 6.A / 7.I / 8.F / 9.G

How about using the correct word to complete each of these sentences?
For example,
1= a)
Five plus five equals ten.

The next 6 are harder but try to label the parts of the equations with A-F

If you are finding this hard or simply want to practice the pronunciation book a lesson with me.
These lessons are helpful for most young people and adults but essential knowledge for high school students.

Finally, how many of these symbols can you match with their meanings?

Join me in a Maths lesson to check your answers.
I'm looking forward to it.
