With the cold front hit in and the feeling of "winter is coming", ginger duck hot pot that is called JiāngMǔ Yā in Mandarin Chinese in Formosa Taiwan is becoming popular and common to be put on the dinning table. The recipe is easy to find online and the ingredients are available at every traditional market. Also the magical floss in the dish to make it absolutely delisous is fresh ginger juice and cabbage that was harvested in the mountain to smooth the spicy from ginger juice with its sweetness.

Ginger is believed in herbal usage for its Yang energy or character of producing warm and heat to human body. The warmness after consumed ginger dish would help with blood circulation and hence the human body retain stronger and healthier immune system to against cold weather. However, some recipe might use whole cooking alcohol base with tiny amount of ginger roots. You would still have the feeling of warmness and rapid blood circulation but these reactions are from alcohol instead of ginger root itself.
Have you tried the Formosan Taiwanese cuisine "Ginger Duck"? Why not give it a try for this winter?
