Flying on the wings of imagination

Weekly Topic: Where do you want to spend your summer?

Jun 21, 2020

Due to the (inter)national restrictions, I believe, most of your holidays got cancelled too! No worries, the countries will stay there, the sightseeing activities will be present there next year, too! Remember, there are other ways to have holidays nowadays! :-) Here are some ideas that might help you pass the time:

  • Read! Join my reading club! It's up to you if you want to choose the book we discuss - but I have a growing stock of books, too! It would be interesting to exchange ideas about the plots and scenery of the books - so that we can still travel (in our imagination)!
  • Watch TED-talks! Join my course on discussions so that we can discuss if you saw some interesting TED-talks! (Or feel free to contact me and choose one speech from my list!)
  • Theatre! Check out the YouTube Channels for Royal Opera House, Globe Theatre or National Theatre where you can see amazing performances week by week! I guarantee you won't mind it because you won't only pass the time (with practicing your English of course!), but also get to know interesting stories or different cultures!
  • Would you like to improve your Spanish? Check out the freely watchable movies on the website of Moreliafest! These movies take place in Mexico and the whole crew is Mexican, so you'll get quite an original feeling for it!
I know, this is just a small part of what's out there (and I mostly recommend the books as you will use your own imagination mostly there), but I'm hoping that you can find something useful from these tips! Enjoy your a little bit odd but hopefully fulfilling holidays!
