Ted Talks

Mar 2, 2019

While wandering the labrynth of online information looking for English teaching and learning resources, I have been looking at a lot of Ted Talks.  They seem to be a popular item on Cafetalk, and I can see why.  I never paid much attention to them before--I thought there was some guy named Ted who did a lot of talking.  Now I know better.

Ted Talks are certainly not for beginners, but they are interesting and you have the option of following with subtitles, slowing down the speed, stopping where you want, and reading the transcript in English or many other languages.  It is certainly one more option to keep your language study fresh and exciting.

I especially like this one about procrastination:  https://www.ted.com/talks/tim_urban_inside_the_mind_of_a_master_procrastinator

I am well-acquainted with the Instant Gratification Monkey.  I like fun and easy!
