Me as A Teacher:
I have been teaching English online to students from all over the world since 2016. Majority of my students are from Japan and Korea. I've been teaching kids and adults from beginner to Intermediate and a handful of Advance level. For Advance students, I do suggest that they book a lesson with a native English speaker in order to maximize their experience.
I believe I am very compassionate and friendly teacher. I can always adjust to my student's level. Most of my students find my class enjoyable and they feel comfortable in our discussion.
I love teaching because I can feel that my career has a purpose and I'll be very happy to help you achieve your goal in English.
I always give my 100% effort and energy and enthusiasm in teaching and 100% of my care and concern to my students to ensure that they are receiving and gaining the best in each lesson.
About Me:
Hi, I’m Jeyn from the Philippines. I teach English and Filipino. I am a Business Administration graduate. I worked as a Business Development Manager for an IT company prior to teaching English, that is why, dealing with diverse kind of people is something that I always do. In the Philippines English, is being thought at an early age, hence, English is our second language. I also worked as a Customer Care Representative that caters to American clients and it had paved the way for my effective English communication skills.
I am also a freelance event host for various events such as weddings, parties, anniversaries etc. and I am also a volunteer Sunday school teacher by which I teach young learners ages 4 to 6 how to sing, dance, make simple arts and I tell them stories.
I am a budding children's book writer. I am an avid children's book reader. I am a foodie at heart. I love lasagna, ramen, shrimp tempura, gyoza, and ice cream.
My Teaching Style:
Students wants to learn English because they have their objective. Some learns fast, others don’t. Each individual learns in their own unique way. I have to find which way is effective for them by putting myself in their shoes. It is called emphatic intelligence and it works wonder.
As much as possible student speaks 80% of the time in my class. I will send you the lesson material prior to our lesson and I will send some lesson notes and summary after each lesson or within 24 hours. My Teaching Materials:
Some are soft copies of text books and most are from powerful resources in the world wide web.
My Lessons:
1. Read, Discover and Discuss Lesson: If you love new information, trivia, adventure, culture, history, science and technology, health and wellness etc. then, this lesson is for you.
2.Tea Break English: Let us talk about anything under the sun. It just like having a cup of coffee or tea with a friend.
3. Conversation Lesson: Let us learn dialogues and phrases from vast collection of videos and audios from BBC and other online resources
4. English for Kids: Your kids will learn useful phrases and expressions. The earlier your child learn how to speak English, the better. They will have better accent compare to late learners.
