Hello! My name is Ivan and I am from the beautiful province of British Columbia in Canada
I have lived in Canada most of my life, but have had the pleasure to live in Europe and Latin America as well.
My day to day experiences, living in a multi-culture city like Vancouver, has giving me constant exposure to people of all walks of life. All my jobs in the past and currently have relied heavily on possessing great communication skills.
For over three years I have tutored many Japanese students of all levels at a local language school in Vancouver. Students who are self-directed will find my lessons fun as I focus more on the conversation than on a formal lesson.
If you want to talk about your weekend, your job, an article you read or just about things around the house, we can certainly make that into our lesson.
Some students read and learn from other places and then bring the material to work on their speaking. I am flexible and love to accommodate students.
Although I am a tutor, I learn so much from every student. There is always an opportunity to learn something new each and every day.
I have many passions and hobbies that keep me occupied year round. My favorite pass time is traveling the world. I have visited over 30 countries and hope to keep traveling to many more. I love cats and take any free time I have to foster them until they can find a forever-home. Here are some pictures of the cats I've fostered.
