Hi everyone and welcome to my profile! I’m looking forward to meeting you in one of my classes.

My name is Fran and I am a Native English speaker born in the UK. I've been teaching English online for almost 2 years. I'm a certified TEFL teacher and have also completed the IELTS Teacher Training Program. I also have a BSc in Applied Biology from Liverpool John Moore’s University, UK.

 

I am a mother of 2 and my passion for teaching has been shown by my choosing to homeschool my children. They are now 13 and 11 and are part of a home schooling educational project where the parents are encouraged to be involved as much as possible. I have often shared my passion for Yoga with the children aged between 4-14 and I recently shared a ‘Yoga Nidra’ session with the kids which is a guided relaxation session.

 

I simply love teaching because I love people and I love helping people learn and to see the joy that learning about a new subject or simply improving on current skills can bring!

 

I am passionate about teaching both English and Yoga.

 

Firstly with English I enjoy helping people improve their writing skills, hence my offer a proofreading class which is an in person Skype lesson. Not only will I correct your writing carefully but I will also give you many more options in the form of different expressions to enhance your writing skills. This is why I believe it is very important to have an in person class at all times.

 

I also enjoy giving free conversation classes in English as I believe, especially for the more advanced students, free conversation is the best and quickest way to improve your fluency level. During one of my conversational classes I will correct you very carefully and always suggest varying ways of saying something.

 

With reading and listening we can look at materials that I will provide on interesting topics and we will discuss the material in depth or at the level that is suitable for you.

 

As far as my passion for Yoga goes, I started practising Yoga in 1997. I was drawn to Yoga for the clear mental benefits it gives, but soon realised that Yoga is a great tool to use in every day life to gain the peace and balance on all levels that we all strive for.

 

During one of my Yoga classes you will practice body postures (asanas) to suit your level, breathing practices and meditation, all specifically designed for you. We will attain your level in an initial lesson.

 

In my free time I love to practice Yoga, Tai Chi and Chi Gong especially in Nature.

I’ve lived in Nature for the past 20 years with my family, which includes a dog a cat and 3 donkeys! I am most happy outdoors walking and foraging for wild food with the children.

I’m very active and enjoy walking with my dog in the mountains, going on donkey walks and when I get the chance going to the beach to surf with the kids!
