Hi! I’m Tina. Nice to meet you! I live in Tokyo, Japan. For five years, I have been teaching English in Japan. Before that I have been and still am an English/German translator. My dream is to add Japanese to my translation skills, that’s why I’m studying hard at my Japanese proficiency.
Even though I’m from the countryside in Germany, I find Tokyo very beautiful because it’s a big city with many things to do, but it’s still relaxed except for rush hour. Also, once can reach nature very quickly. I have a lot of interests, such as reading books, watching movies, acting for fun, traveling, cooking and hiking, but right now my favorite activity is painting. What makes you happy?
I have been teaching Japanese grammar and conversation to students with various levels from beginners to advanced students at an English language school. This way I realized that I like teaching English for tests and for TOEIC the most, maybe since I like structure and also because there is a strategy to follow and if you put in the time, scoring high in TOEC is absolutely achievable. As you can see I focus on test preparation since passing tests are vital for your career and a good tool to measure your progress. I will be glad if the lessons on Cafetalk Japan not only bring you the success you are working towards but also make you happy and instill joy for English as more than just a language, but a window to many opportunities. Let’s enjoy studying English together!
