Bonjour ! Hi everyone ! こんにちは!
My name is Noémie, and I’m from France.
I am a half-French, half-Japanese girl born and raised in the beautiful city of Paris.
I grew up hearing multiple languages, and became passionate about experiencing different cultures, so I learned English and improved my Japanese by myself, at home, through books, TV shows, and pop-culture.
I currently live in the cold and peaceful city of Sapporo, in the north of Japan, where I work in an international environment while teaching French and English (and sometime Japanese !) to people from all over the world.
I understand the struggle of trying to express yourself in a language that is not your native one, so I am very patient and love talking with students. Let’s learn and talk together !
My experience I worked in a Japanese company with international staff, where I would help translating and explaining things in several languages.
I also had the chance to be an English tutor for Japanese students, and teach French to other English speakers.
Since I also speak conversational Japanese, it is easy for my students to ask for a specific point or explanation in their language.
French is a difficult language, and English might seem hard to master, but with me you won’t have to worry about communicating ! I can switch languages to be sure you understand a point correctly, so it is also easy for beginners to learn with me (*´▽`*)/
My teaching style
- Learning a new language should be fun ! I am always enthusiast, and happy to teach you. I will make sure to make you feel at ease, and listen carefully to you.
- My lessons are focused mostly on speaking, and learning how to sound natural by using idioms, slang, and expressions.
- Unless something is too hard to understand, I will conduct the lesson in the language you are learning. I will also take notes of your mistakes and help you fix them.
- Culture is a big part of the language. While teaching you, I will use cultural aspects and facts that are fun and interesting !
We can study by using clips from movies or TV shows, as well as music that you like. Pop-culture is a fun way to learn !
We can also study through free-speech, using real-life situation, pictures to describe, Q&A, or discussing your favorite topics and hobbies.
