Hello!


My name is Brianne! I am an English teacher from Vancouver, Canada. I've been a certified ESL Teacher and Tutor for 4 years, teaching students from all around the world! 

I am from Western Canada, where there are many beautiful mountains and forests to explore. I enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities, and I enjoy bringing my camera with me to take pictures! I also have two dogs named Toby and Charlie. They like to go for walks, sleep, and eat lots of treats. 
 
I have traveled to many different countries. I have been to Chile, Argentina, Peru, Europe, Mexico, and of course, Japan! Through traveling, I have learned that knowing how to speak the local language is the best way to connect with people. I became inspired to become an English teacher so that I can help people connect with others.

I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts at The University of British Columbia in Canada. I also obtained my TESL certificate in 2018 at the same university. I have experience with students of many different ages and levels. I am happy to accept all students, from beginner to advanced levels. 

My classes focus on speaking, pronunciation, and daily use of English. This includes the use of idioms, slang, and useful phrases that native English speakers use every day. I also have experience with IELTS test preparation so that you can work and study in another country! I like to use a combination of free talk, structured activities, and games to make the class effective yet enjoyable! While I have set activities that I like to use in my classes, I like to customize the class to suit your needs and personal interests. I am very friendly and patient, so please don't be afraid to make mistakes. 

I want to help you learn English to open up your career opportunities, academic opportunities, and to help you connect with people from around the world!
