About me
I was born and raised in London, England. From a young age l developed a passion for 3 things: Japan, British culture and teaching the English language. I combined them all in 2006 by moving abroad to amazing Japan to teach English for 5years.
Work in Japan
In Nagoya, I worked at 英会話 eikaiwas (GABA and GEOS), prr-school, Junior high schools, Toyota motor corporation, Brother and Gifu University. Plus l enjoyed teaching loads of fun cafe lessons.
Work in the UK
I have been back in the UK since 2011 and have completed the TEFL and CELTA courses. I have worked for two London based companies who specialise in providing English tuition to Japanese students studying and working in London. PS English and Hello England.
Teaching style (あなたの夢、あなたのペース。)
I have been focusing my skills on preparing students from Japan for English language examinations, interviews, presentations and accreditation. Specifically the TOEIC, EIKEN and IELTS exams.
My lessons are both grammar and conversation based, l believe in using fun and interesting topics to add to the lesson's bespoke plan. Including British history and culture and the students hobbies and interests as a base for the lesson plans. I want my students to enjoy our lessons and feel supported so I enjoy making sure the students have fun learning English and achieve their goals at their own pace.
