Arevik Danielyan Tutor Profile

This tutor is currently on leave.

Hello there!

My name is Arevik Danielyan, but you can call me Daniela. Currently, I live in Yerevan, Armenia, which is the capital city; it is known for its ancient churches, monuments and you can see a mountain that looks very similar to Mt. Fuji on a clear day!

I do consider myself a global citizen since I have been moving around from the early youth. My English learning journey started very early and got exciting when I gained an opportunity to move to the US and study in high school there. Later on being a part of the student council helped me to travel and be part of summer schools in various cities such as London, Madrid, and Brussels. I have obtained my Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in English Language and Literature, however, later realizing the importance of how the world is evolved and shaped due to politics and international relations; I decided to receive my Master's Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. Later on, I have moved to Japan to continue the postgraduate studies in Tokyo.
I’ve been teaching English professionally in Tokyo for about five years and since I have moved back to Armenia, I would like to stay connected to Japan.

Life in Japan

I taught business English and English conversation while I was in Japan; I have helped out Japanese students with their English classes at ELC at my Universities as well as teaching business English at a company for about three years.
Apart from teaching English, I have been teaching lessons about Armenia's history in various high schools and junior high schools in Japan and I have the best memories from my classes.

My interests and hobbies

I really enjoyed the area I was living in Tokyo, particularly taking walks in Inokashira park in different seasons. But most of all I really enjoyed traveling and hiking around Japan. One of my most memorable trips in Japan was the one to Yakushima and the hike that took me to see the cedar trees (yakusugi).

I also enjoy reading and watching movies and this is one way to encourage my students to learn a new language where you can combine fun things with productive.

My Cafetalk lessons

I think that learning English should be enjoyable and fulfilling for all students and since I had to go through the same experience, I believe that I can lead my students to the same path. I truly enjoy teaching students of all ages from young children to adults.

My lessons mainly focus on speaking. They are specialized to develop student's confidence, accuracy, and smoothness. During lessons, I will correct my student's English, and I’ll teach more natural expressions, including idioms and phrasal verbs.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and best wishes in your English studies! I hope to talk with you soon.

Thank you,
