Danny Shelton 講師的自我介紹
Hi, my name is Danny. I am 32 years old and have been teaching English as an additional language for over three years. I have a wide range of experience teaching in secondary/high schools, universities, language centers, and private one to one lessons both in the U.K. and in Vietnam.
I lived and worked in Hanoi, Vietnam, for three years and really enjoyed learning Vietnamese. It gave me a lot of empathy for my students in learning grammar structures, vocabulary and pronunciation that is totally different from your native language.
I have a calm and encouraging attitude, I really want to help people improve their language as a tool for enabling them to do the things they want to do, be it improve work prospects, prepare for study abroad or simply to get better at talking with people from English speaking countries. I am very flexible and happy to tailor lessons to meet my students needs.
I have previously worked as an overseas study guidance counselor, in addition to teaching roles. If you are considering studying abroad then I may be able to help talk through your ideas as I have a lot of experience in advising students on their options at different institutions in various countries.
Prior to teaching English my background was in environmental management. I hold a BSc and an MSc in environmental science from the University of Plymouth and a CELTA qualification from Concorde International.
In my free time I like to meditate and practice yoga and I really enjoy cycling and discussing current affairs.
