Hello! My name is Chris.
I‘m looking forward to helping you with your English skills.
I come from England, near Manchester. I used to enjoy watching Manchester United when I was younger. Now I like playing my guitar and gardening.
I am easy-going and a great listener.
I understand how to help with pronunciation, grammar, reading and listening etc. I love English and I want to share that with you!
I have a Certificate of Teaching English as a Second Language from Trinity College, London. There I met my wife, and now we live in Japan together with our children.
In the 8 years that I have lived in Japan I have learned Japanese fluently. If you can't express yourself in English please try in Japanese! I will understand what you are trying to say.

In high school I enjoyed studying and would often read books late into the night. My favourite book was Lord of the Rings. It's over 1,000 pages and it took me about 2 weeks to read in my summer holiday! I would also read the newspaper every day, The Times and The Sunday Times.
In the 8 years that I have lived in Japan I have learned Japanese fluently. If you can't express yourself in English please try in Japanese! I will understand what you are trying to say.
My students have told me that I'm easy to understand, as I don't have a strong accent. My parents are from the south of England, and I was raised in the north.
