Thank you for your feedback! it’s very useful as usual.
Thank you for the enjoyable lesson! Today’s topic was the election. We talked about difference of system between Canada and Japan, and effect of politician scandal. Although still I have hard time to make interrogative sentences, I could ask some question about a election in Canada.

Lessons with Rhys have been what it takes to maintain my motivation for language learning. His flexibility, patience, and thoughtfulness make me feel at ease. His passion for learning foreign language is quite contagious. He's truly a good person, as well as a wonderful tutor.

Thank you for the useful feedback! I always repeatedly read it.
Thank you for the enjoyable lesson! In this lesson, we talked about the book titled ヘミングウェイで学ぶ英文法 (Learning English Grammar with Hemingway? maybe). Which should I choose English or Japanese in order to learn English grammar? We couldn’t find good answer. But it was fun to discuss about the famous novelist.

Thank you for the useful feedback!
It was the first lesson in three weeks with Rhys. I hope he had a good vacation time. In today’s lesson our conversation started from difference between “take refuge” and “evacuate”, about hurricane/typhoon, to culture difference between Asian and Westerner. We could talk about wide range topics in less 30 minutes as usual. Thank you for enjoyable lesson!

Thank you for the feedback. It is really useful as usual!
Thank you for the enjoyable lesson! During today’s lesson, apparently some construction was going on Rhys’ room but there was no problem for conversation. He uses a good mic to keep conversation clear. I’m glad that he has great professionalism.

Thank you for the enjoyable lesson! We started this lesson by talking about what characters are popular among kids these days. Rhys is obviously familiar with Japanese characters more than me thanks to lessons with Japanese kids. And topics shifted to usage of “such”, and turned to be about freedom of expression. I could learn that crisis of freedom of expression didn’t happen just in Japan. It is surprising that we contain such many topics in about 30min.

Almost succumbing to this summer heat and high humidity, I’m being more self-deprecating and find it so hard to think straight in my mother tongue, let alone in English.
Rhys always does his best while he’s swamped with his lessons, so I’ve barely stayed motivated.
He allows me to find materials for our lessons and offers his help whatever they are.
Everytime I read the sentences in the material out loud, he made the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed not authoritatively but encouragingly. He’s patient and gentle whether words gush out of my mouth or I fumble with words.

Thank you for the enjoyable lesson. Today’s main theme was about dictionaries because I finally bought a new dictionary APP. Rhys studies French and Japanese so we had good conversation about dictionaries. I did’t think that we can talk about it such a long time. It was really fun.

I was mistaken start time of this lesson and couldn’t have worm up time before the lesson. I hope I could speak English better than I remember. In this lesson we talked about the way of learning a foreign language. These days there are a lot of type of lessons, it make us struggle to know which one is the best for the person. Rhys has many experiences of learning languages, so his opinion is reliable.

Rhys is always well-prepared,and at the same time, very flexible.Today we talked about the anime we both had watched online and some more. He also answered my questions I had sent to him before the lesson. Sometimes I'm afraid the lesson time is too long especially when I'm under the weather or I have nothing special to talk to.However, strangely enough, I lost track of time and find myself feeling the time is too short. We often talk about current topics. His remarks sound cogent to me. He is a very good listener and he keeps the conversational ball rolling with his unpretentious,down-to-earth, and empathetic personal qualities.

We talked about one of the two articles I sent me beforehand. I appreciate that he corrected my pronunciations.
As always, we chatted about many other things in the lesson. He is not only friendly, but also very sensible. I think it makes your conversation with him easy and relaxing, especially for beginner students who might hesitate to express their takes.

Thank you for the very useful feedback! It always helps me to improve my English.
This time I asked Rhys to correct my English by showing the chat that I had with Amazon customer service staff. There was one sentence that I couldn’t understand. But it turned out that the Amazon staff wrote a grammatically wrong sentence. It couldn’t be helped that I couldn’t understand. I was a bit relieved. Thank you!
