Thank you for the enjoyable lesson! This time we talk about medical treatment. Whether Oriental medicine is popular in Canada and how we consider about alternative medicine. (I regret that I couldn’t come up with the term “alternative medicine”) Sharing thoughts of culture and custom is always fun.

Thank you for the enjoyable lesson! We started today’s lesson by talking about medication, impression of books and exhibitions. While I tried to tell Rhys how much I was disappointed those exhibitions I realized my lack of vocabulary to express unsatisfying feeling. “Underwhelming” was new word that he thought me in this lesson. Thank you.

Thank you for the useful lesson! While we talked about the pros and cons of digital data and paper documents, Rhys taught difference between “still” and “yet.” Although I thought I already know about their difference, still I was confused when I use them in conversation.

Thank you for the helpful feedback.
Still I need more explanation about difference between these sentences.
Does the computer work yet?
Does the computer work still?
Could you describe me more?

Thank you for the enjoyable lesson! Today we talk about from fingers cross, to my latest work and new coronavirus. Just before this lesson I watched news about this disease. I like to talk about news. Of course taking lessons specialized for news topics is the best, but also I think it is important to bring up the news topics during daily conversation. It needs real conversation skill because unlike news topics lessons you need to talk about the topic without preparation. Thanks Rhys for bringing up this topic.

It's Always Pleasant to talk with Rhys. He is amiable, tolerant, conscientious and flexible, which are his immutable traits as a tutor no matter what the circumstances.

Thank you for the today’s lesson. I was relieved that this time Skype works correct unlike last week. Along with topics about my work and birds, Rhys taught me about “at” “on” “in” , which I had to use for talking about time. It was helpful. Thank you!

Thank you for the enjoyable lesson! Although there was something wrong with my iPad and we had to do the lesson without movie, the lesson was fun as usual. Today we talked about homelessness and gambling issue. It was a heavy topic though, as a citizen whose country doesn’t have a casino (yet), it was very meaningful to listen to the opinion by someone whose country has it.

Thank you for the very useful feedback!
To the other students, I definitely recommend booking Rhys’ feedback. Its explanation are always detailed and sometimes he suggests links of websites or YouTube that describe English grammar.
Thank you for the enjoyable lesson. It was the first lesson after Holidays, so I prepared some Holiday season topics but our conversation naturally went to about people’s names. (I can’t remember why we started that topic.) It was very interesting. I could learn not only about language but also culture.
Thank you for the useful feedback! But I need more explanation about difference between “norm” and “normal.” I’d like to talk about it in the next lesson.

Thank you for today’s lesson. This time, I tried to use my new device for Skype but it couldn’t work right. It was disappointing though, somehow I was able to tell Rhys what problem was happening and what solution I was trying in English. I could feel improvement of my language skill. And then we talk about my new device, digital nomad and some notes from a short novel that I couldn’t understand when I read before. I appreciate that Rhys checked the file that I sent him in advance although he seemed to be very busy right now. Thank you for this year’s lessons. 2020 is going to be 3rd year of Cafetalk lesson to me. I’m looking forward to next year’s lessons with Rhys.

Thank you for the enjoyable lesson! And congratulation on moving. Our conversation started about moving and naturally sifted about packing and then we talked about Holiday traffic congestion. I still have hard time to explain something without preparation. And our conversation always jump into where I didn’t prepare. It must be good training for me.

I got burned out after I had finished the phrasal verb textbook with Rhys. So I was pretty gun-shy about learning grammar through this famous textbook. However, I find it essential to have decent conversations with native speakers, to read articles and books in English.
It's challenging but probably rewarding at the same time. Today's lesson was eye-opening. I appreciate Rhys meething my request.

Thank you for the feedback, and an extra answer! It was helpful.
Thank you for the today’s lesson. In this lesson I learned that Japanese big online shopping mall company Rakuten is going to expand their business in Canada and the US. And Rhys showed me a English commercial video of Rakuten. It was funny and very Rakuten like video. I wish I could explain what point is like Rakuten more exactly.
