Idiom: Even A Broken Clock Is Right Twice A Day!

May 5, 2018

Hello everyone, how are you?

It's time for one of Roxy's idioms.

Do you know the meaning of this idiom?

Imagine when a clock stops working, it shows a time but the hands no longer move. So once in the day and once at night, the clock is pointing to the correct time.

In the same way, even if you think something is VERY unlikely it may happen. You may also say. 'Dumb Luck'

For example:  "Wow I can not believe that the local basketball team won a game after losing every other game this year!"

"I know right, but even a broken clock is right twice a day"

I hope you like this Idiom
