In the U.K. yesterday it was VERY windy. As many of you know, British people have many words to describe the weather (especially rain!)
Here are some useful words that are used in the U.K. for describing wind.
Gusty - used to describe strong wind. Example: Yesterday was very gusty.
Breeze - used to describe light wind. Example: There is a nice cool breeze today.
Gale - used to describe a strong wind storm. Example: It is blowing a gale outside!
A draft - cold air that enters a building through a window or the bottom of a door. Example: Where is that draft coming from?
