Beginner’s English Blog! I’m from Texas!

Savannah W

Hello! I am a new tutor at Cafetalk. My name is Savannah. Let’s practice some beginner reading!

I am from Texas! Have you ever been to Texas? There are many sightseeing spots there.

I went to University in San Antonio. It is famous for sightseeing. There is lots of history and shopping. You can go to the Alamo, a famous fort, in downtown. It is in a Mexican style architecture. There were many battlesfought there.

There is a fun amusementpark there. It has many roller coasters! Some of them are really fast and tall. My favorite one is a drop tower ride. It is 66 meters tall. First, you sit in the seat. Then, you ride straight up for 66 meters. Finally, you drop straight back down! It’s super fast and fun. It’s a little scary

Next, there is a beautiful river downtown. It’s called “the Riverwalk.” You can go shopping and eat at many delicious restaurants. You can also take a river cruise and learn some history. The river is decorated with many colorful parasols and lights.

Next time you go to America, add San Antonio to your schedule! You don’t want to miss it!

What is your hometown like? Let's talk about it together!
