Every spring , the cherry trees all over Japan burst in bloom.  The cherry tree called Somei-yoshino is distinguished by the austere beauty of its large whitish flowers. A long time ago, many Japanese people found beauty not only in blooming flowers but also in the way they flutter to the ground. They saw their own mortal lives reflected in the cherry blossoms that bloom and fall all too quickly. Even now cherry songs  have been sung by young musicians and they have been loved by many people.
