Have you heard the song, "Dreaming Alone"? It's performed by a U.S. band called "Against the Current," and it features a singer named "Taka."
When I first heard this song a few months ago, I assumed that "Taka" was Japanese American (or born in another English-speaking country), because his pronunciation is very clear and natural. However, I learned that his full name is "Takahiro Morita," and he was born in Japan and lives in Japan.
If you watch the video, listen to his "R" pronunciation, especially in words like: "bruised, hard, bright, summer, another, never, dreaming, other." I'm impressed with his natural pronunciation while singing!

His parents are well known singers in Japan. Both his mother and father. I think he has good music ears to copy what he hears.

Actually, while I was first listening, I was waiting for the Japanese man you mentioned to start singing until the end of this song. (LOL) I noticed that the singer was changed from a woman to a man, but I didn’t think the man was him. Yes, he doesn’t sound Japanese. :)

Man, this song is great! Nice find Eby. I think I've fallen in love with Taka's voice. I'm sure his singing helped him learn how to perfect those hard R sounds. I'm quite impressed!
