Montreal's walk for Climate change
Montreal's walk for climate change was held yesterday afternoon, Friday September 27th 2019, and was a huge success!
The goal of the walk was to express the community's growing concern for the well-being of our planet and to push for more action from the Canadian governments.
Over 500,000 people joined together to walk for the cause.
Among them, was our own Prime Minister of Canada; Justin Trudeau. He was accompanied with other high ranking Canadian elected officials.
Greta Thunberg, a young Swedish climate activist which has made a very big impact recently, was also there to help lead the walk.
School's were closed to enable students of all ages to participate.
Many business also closed their shops during the time of the walk.
This event was covered by all forms of local media, and by the participants.
