A Road Trip Across the US

Apr 20, 2019

Hello Everyone!

As many of you know, my husband and I just moved from Texas to Oregon last month. I promised some of you that I would get some pictures of the drive since it covered over half of the US. The trip took 4 days (though part of that was because we stopped at hotels every night and we were driving slow because of the heavy load). We went from Texas up to Missouri to visit my husband's parents and then the four of us set out from Missouri, going through Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, California and from there up into Oregon. We saw thousands (and thousands!) of Canadian geese since it's migration season right now. We also saw anteloupe, deer, horses, cattle and many other kinds of birds too. It was a long trip, but we're happy to finally be up in Oregon.

It's hard to see, but this is one of the wetlands we passed, where we saw thousands of Canadian Geese. That's not snow; those are geese! The spots in the sky are also geese.

This was one of the many long, flat(mostly flat) and empty roads that we saw (just like the title picture). We were driving through Wyoming here, and everything was still covered in snow from the storm a few days before.

These are the Great Salt flats of Utah. There was a huge snow and rain storm that covered the US just a few days before our trip, so the salt flats were flooded. We drove for 80 miles through this, though most of the time it was flat, without the mountains that this picture has.

We finally got a change of scenery when we reached California. This is the mountain road we took, lined with pine trees and awesome views of mountains.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures! Hopefully everyone is having a great spring and enjoyed the beautiful Cherry blossoms while they were in bloom. I'm looking forward to talking with all of you again soon!
