Dear Cafetalk Community,
I know many of you are getting excited about the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan -- whether you are going to participate and help as a volunteer or to meet many foreigners coming to town. Either way, I'm so excited for the city of Tokyo and everyone in Japan. Many of my students have been waiting patiently to apply but I believe yesterday was the first day the 2020 Tokyo Olympics staff are accepting applications for volunteers. There are 10 positions that need volunteers.

Many of my students who have been studying for years are now proficient in English, and they would like to have an opportunity to utilize their English-speaking skills to a fruitful, productive, and enjoyable pursuit! I think the Olympic games are a great way for bilingual and multilingual people to participate in the historical event.
I just wanted to pass the word around to students who've had a strong desire and interest in participating as a volunteer in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
